Eric attended College State University of New York at Plattsburgh and, while there was Student Government Vice President of the Arts, Founder and director of the Pep Band. His majors were Political Science, Economics and Music. As a manager with the Marriot Contract Foodservice, Eric played in various college Jazz ensembles and local community concert bands in Vestal NY, Binghamton NY and Plattsburgh NY. He also played in various local Jazz Bands such as Broome Community College Jazz Ensemble in Binghamton, NY. He relocated to Pittsburgh, PA and performed with several local groups in Bethel Park, PA.
Eric came to Altanta ten years ago and joined the trombone ensemble Slide By Slide. He arranges for the group and has generated 100 works for trombone ensemble pop, rock, jazz, swing, funk, latin and movie themes. He has a website to sell these pieces at tromboneensemblearrangements.com. He is an active member of the International Trombone Association (ITA) and has attended their trade show as an exhibitor.
Eric also plays with the Zephyr Brass Ensemble as a sub. His daughter has kept the trombone alive in the family and currently plays in four ensembles at Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC while maintaining her soccer scholarship. She aspires to be a High School math teacher.
